Security
Q. What
about security? Is the
account information secure and confidential?
A. We are committed to providing you with a safe and
secure system. We encrypt all data transmissions back and forth between
your computer and our data center. Encryption is the scrambling of
information so a third party cannot read it. Your messages to us are
not decrypted until they are inside our firewall. Please read our
Security Statement for further information.
Our security system works only if you protect your accounts. You must
maintain the secrecy of your password. Do not reveal your password to
anyone. Do not leave your computer unattended during a session if you
are in an environment where someone can gain access. Sign off when you
are finished with the session.
To
enhance security and ease the verification process, we have enabled a
permanent cookie for online banking. This cookie is a file on your
computer that helps in identifying you and your computer. The cookie
will be from www2.netteller.com.
You are not required to accept this cookie and should only accept it on
the computer that you regularly use for online banking.
Q.
How can I tell
if my connection is
secure?
A. If you are using a Microsoft browser, there will
be a small icon in the lower right hand corner of the browser shaped
like a locked padlock. With a Mozilla browser, the icon is shaped like
a key. Also, the address of the web page will start with
“https://” instead of
“http://”. The additional “s”
in the address usually indicates a secure site.
Q. What
are the recommended
internal security procedures?
A. United Labor Bank requires the use of a User
Identification number and a password to access the Online Banking
Service. To deter unauthorized Log in attempts, the system will lock
out the user after three unsuccessful tries.
We have taken precautions to offer you an Online Banking system that is
protected, however, it is your responsibility to keep your online
password, User Identification number, account numbers, and personal
identification information confidential.
- Do not reveal your password to
anyone.
- Change your password
regularly.
- Do not leave your computer
unattended during a session.
- Sign off when you are finished
with the session.
We have a site certificate by VeriSign for authenticating the
identity of the Bank. This ensures that you are communicating with
United Labor Bank’s web site and not an imposter. While using
online banking all communications are encrypted using Secure Sockets
Layer (SSL). In order to provide this protected environment we require
that you use a browser with 128-bit encryption (Encryption is the
scrambling of information transmitted between two points. It cannot be
decoded until it has reached its destination, protecting your privacy).
United Labor Bank systems are protected by "firewall systems" which
allows only authorized entry. Please refer to the
following document for
a more detailed reference.
If you have further questions regarding Security, please use our contact page to
submit your questions

forget my password?

transactions on the web, we have taken certain precautions to ensure
that no one has access to your login information. As a result, we
cannot see your password to provide it to you. We can, however reset

Cash Management Services
Q. Can I
transfer funds to
another
institution?
A. Yes, through United
Labor Bank’s eBusiness online banking system, funds can be
transferred to other financial institutions through the Automated
Clearing House System (ACH).
ACH is an ideal
tool for businesses that want to provide direct-deposit for their
payrolls.
Account entries
are entered by the businesses with the sender and recipient information
being saved for use on subsequent account entries.
Q. What is an ACH
transaction?
A. An ACH transaction is
used to send or receive funds from your account to other financial

by the businesses. The batch is then scheduled and initiated by the

the automated clearinghouse for processing. To ensure your batch is
processed today, you must have your batch sent to the bank by 12 noon
(PST).
